I love cooking potatoes in my air fryer. I’ve done air fryer baked potatoes and air fryer breakfast potatoes and now, I’m sharing how you can make air fryer roasted potatoes! Sometimes when I’m making small batched roasted baby potatoes, I just don’t want to put in the effort of preheating my oven and then roasting it just for a handful of potatoes so that’s where my air fryer comes in!

  • It’s so easy. You literally just coat it in some oil and seasoning and then into the air fryer it goes! Quick no fuss, no muss!
  • It’s versatile! I coat mine in cajun seasoning but if you’re not a fan, feel free to use whatever seasoning you like. Sriracha lime is another favourite and so is Parmesan herb.
  • It’s healthier. I find that roasting potatoes in an air fryer is healthier as there’s less oil needed to get the baby potatoes crispy in the air fryer.
  • It’s faster. Due to how the air fryer is built, it takes way less time to roast potatoes in it than in the oven. Trust me, you’ll love roasted potatoes in air fryer.

What You’ll Need to Roast Baby Potatoes in the Air Fryer

  • olive oil — or the oil of your choice
  • cajun seasoning — or seasoning combination of your choice

How to Make Baby Potatoes in the Air Fryer

  • Toss the baby potatoes in the olive oil and cajun seasoning (or seasoning of your choice).
  • Add to the air fryer basket and air fry at 400F for 15-17 minutes. Giving the air fryer basket a shake at the half way mark. Add another 1-2 minutes if your potatoes aren’t fork tender.
  • Cool and serve!

Tips and Notes

  • This is the air fryer I use to make my air fryer baby potatoes.
  • This air fryer baby potatoes can serve from 3 to 4 people, depending on the serving size.
  • I try to roast my baby potatoes in a single layer. If you’re adding in more/would like to double this recipe, I would suggest giving it an additional shake. However, by avoiding overcrowding the air fryer, you get crispier baby potatoes!

Make Ahead Tips

  • Meal prep: store the roasted baby potatoes in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge.
  • To Reheat: Transfer the baby potatoes into the air fryer and roast the baby potatoes at 300F for 5-10 minutes, or in the potatoes are warmed through.

Ingredients

  • 400-500 grams baby potatoes, cut in half
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
