I started my weight gain journey in April,2020 I was very slow and steady throughout the process because I didnt wanna rush things at all.
I was gaining at the rate of 1 kg per month and in 7 months I was able to gain 7 kg however I observed that it doesnt look like it.
My height is 6 ft and I think 7 kg should be a considerable gain and I should have looked a lot better but I didnt notice any 7kg worth of gains.
However I ignored that and still continued to workout but from the first week of November i started feeling a lot fuller from my stomach and couldn't eat much at all, my weight started fluctuating a lot, just a lot.
One day just all of a sudden I had developed a very severe acidity, I have never had acidity that lasted more than a few hrs but this time it lasted for freaking 8 days and I could barely eat anything and i was so sad when I checked my weight again, and I had dropped 8 lbs. I was so depressed that finally when I decided to change myself, i dropped it all over again and in span of no time, just in a week.
For the entire month of November I stopped my work out as I consulted my doctor , took the meds and after a few days I travelled to my native and was feeling somewhat better.
I started eating again but didnt workout because I thought to give it a rest and I would start lifting again when I return home. However a few days before I left my native I started getting those symptoms again and boom another episode of severe acidity which again is going on till date
This time my parents were worried that it may be some dangerous sign, I had all the checkups done as soon as I returned home and found everything normal, the doctor thinks that I have IBS and again gave me meds.
Surprisingly I can surely say that I still look the same even after I dropped 8 lbs. I dont understand how? My clothes still fit the same, just a very minor difference.
I think that I might have gained a lot of bad weight especially around my belly and that somehow triggered the sudden acidity, the doctors are regularly checking my symptoms to understand the cause of the problem, there are several dots that connects to a wrong place, my wrong habits are the following
NOT MUCH ACTIVITY APART FROM EXERCISING 3 DAYS A WEEK, I USED TO SIT FOR HOURS AND HOURS AFTER EATING
EXERCISING JUST 30 MINS AFTER A HEAVY BREAKFAST (600-700 CALORIES, I NEVER DID CARDIO BEFORE EXERCISE, NEVER)
NEVER TRAINED FOR ABS AND OBLIQUES, IN ADDITION TO SITTING AND LYING DOWN FOR LONG HOURS WHICH MIGHT HAVE TRIGGERED A LOT OF BELLY FAT
LARGE INTERVAL BETWEEN DINNER AND MORNING BREAKFAST (DINNER AT 9 PM MORNING BREAKFAST AT 10 AM)
I USED TO TAKE 3 REALLY HEAVY MEALS AND 1 LIGHT SNACK AND MY DIET DIDNT HAVE A LOT OF PROTEIN AND FIBRES WHICH MIGHT HAVE HELPED TO DIGEST FOOD (I NEVER ATE ANY FRUITS, EXCEPT BANANA IN THE ENTIRE PERIOD OF 7 MONTHS, JUST FOCUSING ON CALORIES)
Somehow all these things were getting too much for my body and it reacted negatively, if I had told anyone that I gained 7 kg I am sure they wouldn't have had believed it, because it surely didnt look like it.
I hope you guys can learn from this and not make the same mistakes, also any suggestions, discussion is welcomed and a lot of motivation is needed to get back in the race
