Calling all Canadians! Your special Thanksgiving meal is coming up fast. The official day is Monday, October 12, but in keeping with Canada’s diverse style, we know that means the meal itself can be held anytime from Saturday lunch through Monday dinner.
At Diet Doctor, we’re truly a global company and we want to represent all English-speaking countries. We have thousands of Canadian members, so this post is especially for you.
As a Canadian myself I’m always telling my American friends that, yes, we, too, have Thanksgiving — except our Thanksgiving comes almost seven weeks earlier. (And if we play touch football before the meal, we have just three downs.)
The feast is almost identical to what’s had in the US: turkey with all the fixins, side dishes that feature the best of fall’s bounty, and pumpkin pie to finish off the meal.
Can the classic Thanksgiving feast be keto or low carb? You betcha. Here, at Diet Doctor, we have all the recipes and fresh ideas to have a fabulous keto Thanksgiving meal. Check out our Thanksgiving collection. (And American members, you might get some early ideas about what to try when your day comes around.)
I love the low-carb stuffing, the sugar-free cranberry sauce, roasted Brussels sprouts with Parmesan cheese, and the low carb, crustless pumpkin pie. I now make those every year.
