So, I’m a first time mom to a 9 month old. I’m 5’2”, and before my pregnancy I weighed about 120-130 lbs. My weight has always fluctuated around there since I stopped growing. When I was pregnant, I got up to 160 lbs. But, in these past 9 months, especially the last three, my weight has been plummeting back down. I now weigh 110 lbs, and my body looks so… unfamiliar.
My arms are thin, my wedding ring keeps falling off, my face is bonier, my chest (like upper chest, above my breasts) is the most drastic though. I can see my upper rib cage and my chest plate. I’ve always been able to see my collar bones, just because they are very protruding, but never my upper ribs and chest plate. Pretty much the only fat I have on my body is on my stomach, which isn’t even that much. I don’t fit my regular jeans anymore and have absolutely no butt. My legs are fine, I’ve always carried the most muscle in my legs, and that hasn’t seemed to go away.
My husband thinks the weight loss is because I’ve been breastfeeding this whole time, but I’ve also been a lot more active than I was before, due to chasing around my crawling baby all the time and carrying her around everywhere. I feel like I don’t have time to eat 3 proper meals a day and snack in-between. I eat dinner every night, and the rest of my day is mostly just on-the-go snacks. I don’t eat unhealthy at all. I don’t eat junk food ever. My snacks consist of fruits, veggies, nuts, cheese and meats. For dinner I always make sure we have carbs, proteins and veggies… What am I doing wrong? What is something easy and quick that I can fit into my hectic schedule to gain weight? With my daughter gaining weight, I don’t think I can continue to carry her for 30 minutes straight without gaining some more muscle.
