Kristy Fros has lost 16.6kg and dropped three dress sizes since she signed up to the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge just 5 months ago! INCREDIBLE!
Queensland-based mum-of-three says, “My real defining moment was when I received our Christmas photos back. I knew I had gained a lot but I was heartbroken when I saw myself.”
“The health benefits I’ve seen are that my blood pressure was extremely high and is now normal so I’m off the medication for it! My cholesterol has slowed and my medication dose is half for it. My knees don’t hurt like they used to either.”
Kristy has lost 16.6kg and gone down THREE dress sizes!
“I have sooooo much energy! I was always so tired and just couldn’t be bothered. Now I have so much energy to keep up with my children, dogs and just life as a mum in general,” says Kristy.
“I love The Healthy Mummy smoothies, absolutely love them. I generally use the premiums with the new Banana Sundae being my absolute favourite but if I’m bloated (especially at that time of month) I use the Tummy smoothies with the Salted Caramel being my fave.”
What Kristy eats every day
Breakfast: Smoothies, Strawberry Cream Oats, Strawberry Granola, Cinnamon and Nut Granola with yogurt
Lunch: BLAT Sandwich, English Muffin with Bacon, Egg & Tomato (breakfast recipe), Healthy Egg Sandwich
Dinner: Air Fried Hawaiian Parmigiana, Hawaiian Pita Pizzas, Mexican Lasagna, Easy Slow Cooked Lasagna
Snacks: Superfood Rocky Road, Lamington Bliss Balls, Hot Chocolate, Gluten Free Superfood Bowl.
Workouts: Stronger Beginner, Step and Express Boxing. So much fun and definitely increase your fitness levels
“My meal plan is pretty repetitive to save time and money. I have a smoothie with protein powder for breakfast or an oat/porridge recipe from The Healthy Mummy app,” she says.
“Morning snack I always have a smoothie with just powder and water. I used to eat 1-2 meals a day so my stomach is struggling with all the regular meals but the smoothies make it so much easier. Lunch varies with what I feel like.
“Sometimes I have leftovers (if there is any!) or something quick and easy from the app. Afternoon snacks are quite small, generally a bliss ball. We have a different dinner every night and my whole family eats it. Sometimes I don’t have dessert, it just depends if I need to use up any calories or not.”
Kristy’s 3 tips for success
Stick to your meal plan! It will help keep your shopping bill down and will help keep you on track. Keep up the water. I know it can be hard, especially in the colder weather but your body will love you for it.
My advice is keep going! If you’ve had a bad day/week/month etc, don’t punish yourself or give up. Get up, dust yourself off and just keep going. Your results will come. I know it can be hard. I’ve had plenty of tough days.
