When we started MAN v FAT Football, we never envisaged rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the beautiful game and now we have (well, kind of). The article, which has topped off a splendid few weeks for MAN v FAT Football’s nationwide exposure, is available in the latest FourFourTwo issue which you will be able to find on the shelves at newsagents nationwide – just look for the one with a big picture of Mo Salah on the cover.
- How do you stick to an exercise regime? It all lies with the beautiful hormone called serotonin. Even on the best of days it can seem an absolute effort dragging yourself to the gym, or out of the warm comforts of your bed to go for a run and don’t we know it. But there is hope: a study has shown that by changing your motives to get fit from purely losing weight to improving your mood, it can drastically improve your results and you’ll be much more likely to stick with it.
Setting goals has also been cited as one of the best ways to persevere with a plan – the same study found that sixty-two percent of adults were more likely to stick to a fitness regime, if they had a clear and attainable goal in sight. Just think SMART: make your targets specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely (more info on smart goal setting here).
Motivation is also key, as two-thirds of people admitted that they will not lose weight if they lack the desire to do so and are just going for the sake of it, so make a list of reasons you’re doing this and keep it handy.
