The amazing, fudgey keto brownie recipe is one of our favorites and very popular on the blog.

Since Father’s day is just around the corner, creating a creamy keto peanut butter filling to stuff in the middle of these chocolate keto brownies, had to happen for my peanut butter loving hubby, who also now follows a keto diet. He gave this recipe thumbs up and asked when I’d be making them again!

Is Peanut Butter Keto?

Natural, no sugar added Peanut Butter is keto friendly and can be enjoyed on a ketogenic diet. As long as you have a small portion, only 1-2 tablespoons, you should be able to stay in ketosis.

Everyone is different in how their body reacts to carbs and how many daily carbs you need to keep your body in nutritional ketosis.

1 tablespoon of natural, unsweetened peanut butter has 100 calories, 4 grams of protein, 8.5 grams of fat, and 2 total carbs.

Best Sugar Free Chocolate Chips

When you are looking for the best sugar-free chocolate chips that can replace traditional chocolate chips in recipes you will first want to look at the label of ingredients.

Always check for what sugar alcohols are being used in the chocolate chips to make them sugar free. Stay away from any of the following sugar alcohols like Maltitol, and Sorbitol. Those sugar alcohols will give you digestive distress if you over consume the recommend serving amount.

Here’s my comprehensive post on Sugar Free Sweeteners and which ones to avoid and which ones to consume.

I always make sure it doesn’t have any added sugars and whether it actually contains some cocoa butter. You can also make your own homemade chocolate chips if you prefer.

Lily’s Sweets is often the brand of sugar-free dark chocolate chips I use in most of my sugar free desserts, like in my Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies.

They sweeten using erythritol and stevia and have many different kinds of sugar free chocolate chips, like semi-sweet, milk chocolate and even salted caramel, to name a few.

Another brand I found that uses Allulose in their chocolate chips is byGood Sam. I found them to be great, just not as sweet as using Lily’s chocolate chips made with stevia.

You could use unsweetened chocolate in this recipe to replace the sugar free chocolate chips I used, but you would most certainly need to add much more sweetener to the recipe.

Best Keto Peanut Butter

The best keto peanut butter is always the brand that just uses peanuts and salt, nothing else included. Some don’t add any salt and that is fine too, but often so many brands add unnecessary oils and other ingredients, so be cautious.

Also if you look for an organic label, at least you will know for sure the peanuts haven’t been sprayed with harmful pesticides.

The best sugar free peanut butter brands are;
