It has been 10 years since The Healthy Mummy was founded by the amazing Rhian Allen at her kitchen table, and in that time we have supported, celebrated and encouraged thousands of mums as they go through their weight loss journeys.

As we celebrate 10 years of The Healthy Mummy we are celebrating 10 mums from The Healthy Mummy community who have transformed their body, found body confidence, and reshaped their health using The Healthy Mummy.

Celebrating 10 mums for our 10th birthday

Manuela Busak

Manuela is a 55-year-old mum of four amazing kids, her youngest of which has cystic fibrosis which on top of her own health issues has made life challenging at times.

“Life became extremely tough and challenging due to illness and I became engulfed by it all and my weight ballooned to 114.7kg. At the end of 2019, I had this uncomfortable feeling that I wasn’t going to see my next birthday if things didn’t change and that’s when I came across Stephanie’s journey on The Healthy Mummy, so I bit the bullet and joined.

My mind was ready to fight because I was scared. The first few months, I stuck below my calculated intake and as I have fibromyalgia, and problems with my joints….especially knees, hips and back, walking was my best bet.  Slowly, step by step the weight was coming off. I also have hypothyroidism so I knew this journey needed me to be strict and dedicated.”

She knew it wouldn’t be easy but she never gave up, she kept her meals simple and avoided temptations.

“The meals on the healthy mummy app are incredible, but I also love to cook and be inventive with my meals.  We are now in September and I have finally reached a 30kg loss. Happy dance!!!!”

Chelsea Dixon

Chelsea is a mum from Queensland who used to sit on the couch all day but has transformed her life so much that she has recently competed in a half marathon.

“I started The Healthy Mummy with no idea where it would take me. I had a plan to just give it my all and lose just 5kgs. I started my first challenge in March 2019 and was incredibly happy I lost just over 4kgs in the first challenge I’ve continued month after month and 18 months in I’ve lost over 60kgs.”

But it’s not just the weight loss, Chelsea now is able to run distance which helped her compete in her first-ever half marathon, she can chase her kids and she’s remembered that life is for living.

“I am a Healthy Mummy for life!”

Sammy Miller

Sammy is a mum of two from South Australia who has used The Healthy Mummy to lose her baby weight after both her pregnancies.

“After my first pregnancy, I used The Healthy Mummy to lose my baby weight in 2018 and I lost 25kg in 6 months!! Then I fell pregnant with baby number 2 and put it all back on. I hit 115kg and that’s when I knew I had to go back to The Healthy Mummy! I restarted in the 2020 February round! At the end of the August round, so 7 months later, I have lost an amazing 30kg with only 10kg more to get to my goal weight!! So a total loss after both pregnancies of 55kg!!! Also went from size 20 to size 12-14!!”

But beyond her amazing weight loss achievements, Sammy is feeling better than she ever has.

“I feel more energetic than I have ever felt and I now have the ability to run around and enjoy my time with my 2 toddlers! My aches and pains have reduced phenomenally and I can tell that my lung health is so much better because it is so much easier for me to breathe!”

Julie Scott

Julie is a mum of two boys who knew that the extra weight she put on was holding her back from playing with them and enjoying time with them. And after she battled breast cancer she wanted to make sure she lived life to the fullest.

“Over the past 12 months, I have lost 18kgs and gone from a size 16/18 to a 10/12. I am not at my ‘goal’ weight, but I am happier, fitter and nowhere near as tired as I used to be. I love my smoothie in the morning, and most days I am excited to eat the dinner I have cooked. Before Healthy Mummy, I quite often cooked the same meals over and over. I love The Healthy Mummy variety. Don’t get me wrong, we have our ‘top 10’ and they are often on rotation, but we love trying new recipes and deciding if we add it to our favourites list.”

Besides losing the weight and feeling amazing Julie now enjoys playtime with her two sons.

“I can even jump on my kid’s trampoline!”

Kelly Fitzgerald



Mum Kelly has been able to transform her body and her life thanks to The Healthy Mummy, she is now half the body size she used to be and healthier as well.

“I have lost over 60kg I have beaten diabetes and fatty liver. I have been able to do all this with a broken back and ongoing medical probs. The Healthy Mummy has taught me how to eat healthily and not give up!!!”

But it’s not just been Kelly that has benefited her whole family is now eating healthier.

“My family is eating healthier and I can give my ASD / ADHD kids so-called sweet treats which don’t give them sugar rushes!!”

Kalpna Sultani

Mum Kalpna suffered post-natal depression and after the birth of her second child she hit rock bottom, but she found the support she needed and turned her life around including losing 17kgs.

“From 75 kg in Nov 2018 after my second born to 58kg September 2020. Took a while as I was suffering from Depression and IBS is at its peak, yet still motivated. Have 3 more kg to lose and I will reach my pre-baby weight.”

She attributes the major change in her life to finding The Healthy Mummy.

Sarah Hutton

Sarah is a loving mum of four from Victoria who was able to lose an amazing 10kg.

“I joined Healthy Mummy in 2018. I’m 164cm and I weighed 72kg when I first started. I lost 10kg following the Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and using The Healthy Mummy Smoothies, Snacks and supplements, and workouts from the app, getting down to 62kg.”

And then this year has been a struggle but Sarah has found the support of The Healthy Mummy community has helped her get through and stay on track.

“This year has been hard, spending the majority of the year in lockdown and remote learning with four children. I have put some weight back on, but I know with the support of the Healthy Mummy community and the knowledge I have from the Healthy Mummy I will reach my goal weight.”

Catherine Farley

Catherine is from Victoria who has been able to lose almost 30kgs since joining The Healthy Mummy.

“I first started with The Healthy Mummy in May 2018. I started at 122 kgs and I was that out of shape I struggled to even walk a few minutes to my children’s school without getting breathless and sparkling. Enough was enough. It was time to put myself first and get back some health and fitness.”

She was a bit slow to get in involved but after seeing the success stories in our Healthy Mummy community she dove right in!

“I came across The Healthy Mummy on Facebook, joined the Facebook support groups, watched for a little while and was curious at all the success stories I was seeing, so I thought, well, I had nothing to lose as eating a low-calorie diet never worked for me (well except a pile of weight), so I joined up for 6 months and jumped in headfirst. 28.5 kgs loss later, over 104 cms lost and 4-5 clothes sizes down I am rockin’ it and can’t wait to see what else I can achieve with my The Healthy Mummy lifestyle!”

Abby Curry

Mum of four from NSW Abby has not only revamped her body but also her confidence thanks to The Healthy Mummy.
